I needed another switch and I bought this one because it was inexpensive, was supposed to be energy-saving, and was well-reviewed across the net. It works very well, and it runs cool - barely warm to the touch. Heat is wasted electricity and ultimately challenges component reliability.
Got this router a while ago, and have not yet had to reboot it like many others in the past. The real reason I got this router is because I was having a hard time getting signal all the way through the house. We live in a quad-level home, and it's quite hard to get that wifi signal all the way through. The TP-LINK has done wonders. I have full wifi all the way through the house. I haven't really had a chance to use the 5ghz side, but the 2.4ghz is plenty fast for all of our devices.
