Great for the Home
Pros: Features, Easy to Use, Meets Expectations
Cons: bulky not sleek.
I purchased the HP inkjet pro 8610 and love it! Perfect for home use and light office use. I set it up from the HP download web site vs. the CD due to more current updates. Once the download was completed, set up with my windows 7 software was a breeze! Everything worked the first time and it is fast. Bulky unit but I hide it behind my desk and below eye level. I also signed up for the instant ink (through HP connect online) program. I figure it pays for itself if you usually buy ink cartidges at least once a year. This machine uses 4 ink cartidges, so rethink using the instant ink program for your needs. They track online when you need a new cartridge and send them to you automatically for a small monthly fee. (Mine was $4.99/mo printing 100 copies a month. Thats $60 per year and I know I spent more than that last year). Great service idea. I was able to print from my smart phone without any issues. My Samsung tablet was a different story. Only can print on a Samsung Printer per Tab 3 but I will investigate and fix this trick. So you should go for an HP 8610 at Office Max, they matched a sale price I located on my Smart Phone while at the store too. Bought it on the spot under the $149 price.
