Balanced Sound Reproduction with Noise Isolation
Pros: accessories - quality pouch several earbud covers, excellent noise isolation = lower volume levels, top warranty service
Please read my experience with these because there are some important features you should always consider with headphones and ear buds.
I use these in a noisy environment, with high powered vacs, steam cleaners and power tools running constantly and they do an exceptional job in isolating noise. This is important because if you have too much noise coming in, your natural tendency is to turn up the music louder which will damage your ears. I am able to listen to my music at a normal volume where others cannot hear it leaking from my ears.
To accomplish this, you have to insert these properly. It takes a few tries to get it just right, but once you figure it out your ears will thank you. Insert them and then twist them into place to seal the ear. The soft pliable rubber shaped covers are comfortable, unlike many other manufacturers.
You can control volume, pause, back and forward easily with the cord controller. Additionally, the microphone for use with your phone is also very good. Many people have told me there is little difference between listening to me on the phone vs. using the headphones/mic of these Etymotics.
So, do they sound good? Yes. They provide exceptional balance across lows, mids and highs. If you are looking for bass heavy earbuds, these are not for you. If you want to hear everything being produced, these are great.
The cost is higher than most consumers want to pay... but seriously consider if it is worth the money to prevent your ears from future damage.
The construction quality will also make up for constantly replacing lower end earbuds. Sure, Skullcandy will tell you that you get a one year warranty, but if you've ever had to get service, you know it is worthless. Etymotic is a solid reputable company known for providing exceptional service.

TERRIBLE!!! Full of Bugs
Cons: Useability, reliability, mac os integration, accuracy, hidden costs- payroll, Design
I've used Quickbooks for Windows for a few years. I decided to convert our business over to Mac. Unfortunately, Quickbooks isn't a smooth transition. Quickbook for Mac is riddled with bugs which cause your books to go out of balance. I plan to use Intuit's 60 Day Money Back Guarantee on this product and use something different.
The Good: It was easy to install. It is also easy to transfer files from windows to mac if you read the directions. That is where the good ends though.
My 5 Major Reasons NOT to buy this:
1) The design is significantly different from Windows. It is obvious Intuit put no thought into this product. Their main clients are Windows users and it really shows.
2) there is no Basic Payroll. With my Windows version, I received FREE Payroll for my one employee. With Mac... You have to pay $25 PER MONTH for online payroll. I refuse to pay $25 a month for one employee. Instead, I chose to use PaycheckManager.com. It is free for 3 months and only $3 per employee per month after (and less per if you have more than 3) Still, this is costing me money I didn't have to pay before.
3) This is BIG... It doesn't balance when it should. It isn't rocket science to know that when you download your bank statement onto Quickbooks, it should balance. The problem is that Quickbooks for Mac doesn't always download all of your transactions. Today, I found 3 missing transactions. The problem is that I had to print up a copy of my bank statement and a copy of quickbooks bank register and go line by line trying to find the problem. Not good when all I am working with is barely one month of transactions. I thought that perhaps it was my bank, but then I downloaded a free trial of FirstEdge. It downloaded everything perfect! It wasn't my bank, it was Quickbooks for Mac. Here's the catch... I used the Quickbooks file format to download it into the FirstEdge software. Quickbooks for Mac can't even read their own language!
4) I have closed this application with correct balances in all 3 of my bank accounts only to open them a few moments later and the balances are off. Not what you want from a program that is supposed to keep your books in order.
5) Downloading your bank account transactions on Q for Mac has a few more steps than the Windows version, and you open it downloaded files completely different than the Windows version.
If you're buying this for your Mac, do yourself a favor... DON'T!!! Intuit obviously has taken their business plan straight from Microsoft. Rush a good idea out to the consumer without making sure it functions properly. They charge you a bundle for a piece of garbage. This is the same reason why I left Windows computers.

So So Offering...
Pros: Number of Licenses, integration of publisher features to word
Cons: complete overhaul of layout
First, set up was simple. It took little time and was easy to follow as it should be. Registration was easy as well.
I bought this after just switching from PC to Mac, so I already have a bit of a learning curve on the Mac OS... but I have used Office for well over a decade and find this one to be just ok. If you came from Office 2003... get ready for a big surprise, and it isn't all good news. The entire layout has changed, which isn't good if you want to jump right in and use it. Many of the icons have disappeared and are now in drop down menus on a separate tool box. This includes alignment, margins, fonts, etc. I haven't used it enough to figure out if it can be set up to mimick 2003's layout, which would be nice.
There are a few nice additions to Word, as it seems MS has integrated many features of Publisher into it. This makes it easy to create fliers, signs, etc on a whim.
I use Excel as well, and it seems to integrate easily from Office 2003 as well as the open source formats.
I'm sure I'll get used to this version... just in time for MS to drop a new version where they completely reinvent the wheel again. This is one reason why I switched from PC based Microsoft operation systems to Mac. Sure, you can buy Windows 7 which is supposedly better than Vista... but why should you? It should be MS responsibility to put out good quality products. XP was one of the best Microsoft OS, then they created the nightmare Vista... reinventing the wheel. Everyone jumped on board and then screamed and pulled out their hair. Now they want you to buy Windows 7 to "upgrade". Wasn't Vista supposed to be an upgrade from XP? Office 2007 seems to fall in line with this MS philosophy too.
