Not Worth It
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Design
Before considering this router, please google EBR-2310 and read what's out there. If you're one person with only light duty use, you'll be fine. If more than one person (which is sorta the point with these routers) or you frequent complex websites, you'll be sorry.
The EBR-2310 can't handle even medium size load. After it hits its max, it just drops *all* connections. It does recover, but it takes 5 - 10 minutes to do so.

Nice, easy and uncomplicated
Pros: Easy to Use, Design, Features
Cons: not for long distances around the home
I bought this router to use with my familys laptops--which are scattered around the house.
-
I thought that it was very easy to set up and use, ,,I had all D-link wireless plug ins inside my older Dell Laptops..non of which had internal wireless capabilitys.
It worked great over the entire first floor.....recently I bought a larger more powerful desktop..and moved the old desktop that was connected to this router upstairs...and added a plug in wireless...and that is not working correctly as of yet. I believe the plug in wireless is not strong enough to pull in the signal from so far away. It recognises this router --but is not getting bar strength to work.
To me this is still the little router that could---but If you have a large home or want to go outside or to the garage...this is most likely not the router for you...get the bigger one.

A lot of bang for the buck
Pros: Easy to Use, Design, Features, better than average quality, better security, very small footprint
Cons: requires hard wiring
While there are definite advantages to a wireless router, having my office in a Condominium complex means that there are a lot of scabs that seem to attach at exactly the wrong time, decreasing the bandwidth when I seem to need it most. I also went through two LinkSys routers within one year due to failures with the low quality of the LAN connectors they used. I am a private contractor as a technical writer and a licensed electrologist. I do a lot of consultation, blogging, as well as purchasing of supplies and customer/vendor communications. I need my network up and running with no to minimum problems to stay timely in my business correspondence.
All I had to do is plug this unit in, connect to the three computers that I use, do a quickie ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew from the cmd prompt of each computer and all three computers were talking and up on the internet. The additional sockets on the back allow me to have friends plug in a laptop or notebook and be up and running in seconds. I have not had a single glitch since I went over to this unit.
