Good printer
Pros: Easy to Use, Meets Expectations, Features, replacement cartrdges are reasonably priced
Cons: paper tray is cumbersome
Only complaint so far is that duplex printing is somewhat cumbersome in that you have to remove the paper tray and reinsert the sheets. Paper tray is farily easy to remove and reinsert, but it's an extra step that I never had to deal with while using HP printers. Printer is pretty intuitive, which is good considering there's no written user's manual and only a user's guide on CD. I've been using printer so far without consulting the user's guide.

I have found this printer to be an excellent piece of equipment. But, you must be careful to clear jammed pieces of paper at the top rear by the fuser. If you don't clear out the first piece and allow the second sheet of paper to jam, it may get wrapped around the fuser. Otherwise the print quality is excellent and the speed is good.

Love the Printer

Cons: have to unload paper tray to print an envelope
The printer is just as it is advertised. Easy to set up, easy to use. I have always purchased HP Products until someone suggested I try a Samsung. I don't have to wait for calibration anymore!!! Great product

This is a very compact and efficient machine. Setup was extremely easy and I was ready to use it within couple of minutes. Its a very quiet machine and the print quality is great. I will recommend this to everyone.

The Samsung CLX–3175FN Color Laser All–in–One Printer is so far one of the best all around printers i've used for small to medium business and home.
fax works great copy is not too bad and print is great. Doesn't take up a lot of space and it isn't an eye sore. You might want to consider the wireless network printer for an extra 40 to 50 bucks

Solid little printer

Selected this printer after extensive review for use as home printer and to support our use as classroom teachers. Scanning documents for class handouts, review and classroom response questions was important and this unit had document feeder, scanner and USB slot for thumb drive. Set up was a breeze, we had difficulty with an earlier Konica printer in the same class. Speed of print was good, shared printing works well with laptops in the house, and print quality quite acceptable. We kept our monochrome printer for black-only printing.

Nice compact all-in-one color laser printer

Cons: print speed on the slow side
When I first got it, the copy and scan unit was not working. I went online to the Samsung website and put in a service request expecting to not hear from the company until a week or two later, but I was surprised to get a phone call from the service person after only two days. The service person came to my house to pick up the printer, and repaired it in two days and delivered it back to me. The service from Samsung is very reliable and good.
The print quality is very good, but the print speed is a little slow.
Also, the printer has a burning odor and can get hot.
Otherwise, the size of the printer is nice and compact for all the features it has.

Well designed All-In-One Color Laser

Cons: generic toner cartridges not available, lcd display hard-to-read, scanner function doesn't work on macs
If you have tight space restrictions for a color printer, fax machine and copier, this is a great choice. I installed it on a 2009 iMac with no problems. I think it will also act as a Scanner for PC's, but this function will not work for Macs. Download and install the latest drivers from Samsung's website. This is my second Samsung laser printer. They are trouble-free and a solid alternative to the usual Canon, HP, Brother, etc. Because of the compact size, the toner cartridges hold less toner, but the larger all-in-ones are huge eyesores and require a solid desk/stand and dedicated space. This unit can sit on a standard desk and looks very attractive. The copier function is great because you can use the sheet-feeder for multiple document stack or use the flat-bed for fragile documents. Recommended.

Great all-in-one for the price

My husband and I purchased this printer when he started his own business two months ago. The franchise that he bought required that he have a color laser, a copier, and a fax machine. We decided that it would be better to have one piece of equipment that could do all those things. We have been very pleased with it so far. The color output is crisp and the photocopying is a snap. It also has a USB port so that you can print a file directly from a thumb drive. The network-ready feature is a bonus as well. Since we have a wireless network in our house, I am able to print to his color laser upstairs from my office downstairs!

Had trouble printing photos on photo paper. Ink would not soak into the paper, just stay on the top. Maybe I was using the wrong photo paper.

Excellent Printer

This printer was a breeze to set up on a wired network and works flawlessly. I have had no problems with it and it meets all of my requirements, allowing me to clear out some of the old equipment that only performed one job. I can't think of any cons for this printer.

Color not as good as HP Deskjet855c

The B&W printing is good and fast, but the color isn't nearly as good as my older HPDeskjet 855C, which had perfect color.
I do not like that there isn't an 'instruction book' that comes with the printer, nor is there one available to order. You have to read the manual on line, or print out specific pages, of a very long manual. Many features are not that obvious, and instructions have to be followed while reading them on your screen. Fax works well.
