Great Printer

couldn't do without it

Cons: has 5 ink and when 1 runs out.can't print

I have several Epson printers, and all have been great with no problems.
My latest one (Epson stylist photo RX580) prints directly on the CD's that make. and that is the reason I bought it, but the pictures printed on it, are ads good as or maybe better than film. The ink is water Prof. and has never faded on me once. I will stick with Epson as long as they keep making printers that print on CD's and great pictures as well. I've had this one about 4 years and have haven't had one problem.

a great printer

Cons: scanner difficult to use

I have used this printer for almost a year now and it is the best printing photo printer/document printer I have ever used. The machine provides a clear image which exceedes products from HP or even Canon. My one compliant is that some of the features for the scanner are difficult to know how to use properly. The scanner works very well but is difficult to initially figure out. Keep in mind when using this printer that sometimes opening the scanner software before trying to operat the on screen controls is sometimes helpful.

Great Value for $$, Excellent Photo Prints

I have had this printer for quite a few months now and LOVE the print quality and speed. The separate photo and CD trays have come in very handy. I have not had any problems with the tray as a few other reviewers have. As long as you are gentle with it it works just fine and is easy to load. I really like the compactness of it (i.e. it doesn't have a paper tray that sticks out the back) and the flat top allows me a place to stack things I've printed out that I will get back to later. I don't find that the ink is any more expensive than any other model, but I wish it was sold in more stores than just Staples in my town. I used to be able to get my old printer's ink (Epson CX5000) at Wal-mart and that was very convenient!
Overall I think this is an excellent printer and really have enjoyed the Wi-Fi capability as well, it has allowed me to keep the printer in the spare room and print from my laptop in the living room at the other end of the house.
