Thou this was a great deal, I do want to mention that it might be helpful to provide an extra ribbon. Because the longevity is not very good when first purchased.
Thanks :)

Jams all the time
Bought this a few years back for the once a month use or less. worked ok 1-2 times...then it would grab multiple papers at once, or jam. Have manually feed papers one at a time and it still doesnt fax right all the time. i got it for $30 but now that i have to fax a 50page document once a month, i need to get a different one.

I hate this silly fax!
I Thought I was gunna get a cheap easy to use fax, boy was I wrong! I don't like saying anything negative, but I didn't want anyone else to have to endure the frustrations of this fax machine. Don't get suckered in by the cheap price. It is not worth it. I have had nothing but problems with this thing. I've only had it about 3 months. These are a couple of the major issues I have had so far... The ink ribbon drys out if not used every day. So you have to advance it each time you know you are going to use it. The ribbon will get caught in the incoming fax sheet and be drawn up through the top and have to be rolled back in. Many times the paper will get tangled up inside the fax while printing. Again needing to be untangled. The memory is small, so when it runs out it won't receive a fax. If you disable the memory, you can't reprint the last fax received. I have had more problems than this, but I won't waste any more of your time with my wah nanny boo boo. I hope you find a better fax than I did. sincerely, S

I hate this thing
and it is on its way to the trash. No matter what kind of paper I put in it - and I don't know of any particularly thin paper - it jams. I fax resumes to prospective employers, and it makes a terrible impression when the fax machine pulls two or three pages through at a time, and the other person receives a mess.

Best purchase ever
I needed a new fax machine after my old one 'died' of natural causes after 14 years of constant use. I searched Office Max for another one within the price range I was looking for, and then I found this Brother fax/copier. I couldn't believe the price. The original price was $59.99 & got it at a reduced price of $40.00 off! Brother is one of my favorite name brands. The machine is easy to install and to operate, and the copies and faxes are great. I would recommend this fax/copier to anyone whetherat the reduced price or the regular price. It's well woth the price regardless.

Best Little Fax Machine in the West
Sometimes............you just need a fax machine. Not a printer/fax, not a printer/fax/copier, not a printer/fax/copier/scanner all kit and caboodle in one. And I don't like having a 1' square cube on my desk particularly.
Most times nowadays documents are electronic anyway and you can just email them as an attachment.
But every once in while I just need a fax. So I bought this rather sophisticated simple little fax machine for when someone wants a document from me that has my actual signature on it for whatever reason.
This little bad boy does that and more. I rarely use the fax, so I saved the packing materials and box and store it when I'm not using it. This keeps my home office space simple, sparse and not feeling like I'm in the copy room at the office.
I'm planning to primarily use this to Fax OUT. Works fantastically well for that function. But it seems like it can do SO much more than I'm going to ever use it for.
If I ever decide to leave it on the desk, or in some closet somewhere with a telephone line, I like the extremely small footprint of this machine.
So if you only occassionally need a fax like I do, this fits my needs just fine. Otherwise it stays in the box and stored away until that time 3-6 months from now or never when I'll need it again.
For the price and size, you can't beat it with a stick!

Easy to use
Easy to use, just plug in and secure to a phone line. Small enough to fit in my small office area. Easy to understand instuctions for usage. Set up was fast and easy. This machine is for my home. It will not be put thru everyday use, so I am not sure how it will hold up to everyday office use.

Excellent Fax Machine!
I use this fax machine in my office and it is great! I have never had a problem with it and I have had it for over 2 years and use it regularly. When I was looking at fax machine initially I wasn't sure how much I would use it so I bought the cheapest one and I am glad I did! This does everything I need and is easy to use!

Brother 575 Thermal Fax Machine
Love this telephone/fax combo. Have owned it for a while now, and replaced the cartridge only once. Easy to use. Prints clear fax copies. A great addition to a home office - and a great price.
