Good router
Pros: Easy to Use, Design, Features
Easy set up and works great. I tried online trouble shooting and that just cost me money. I should have just gotten a new one instead of trying to fix the old one.

Wireless issues
Pros: Easy to Use, Features
Cons: Design
I bought this product based on the previous reviews. The set-up was real easy with the CD. Well, about four days after I started using it the wireless light would just turn off. I called Belkin Support and they had me change the channel. Well the light came back on only for one day. I emailed their support with my explicit wireless problem. They replied with:
Note : On "Belkin N" version router the wireless light comes up lit only if the computer is connected to the router wirelessly.
There is no mention of this unknown feature in the installation set-up. So I am done with Belkin. This router is being returned to the store.

Great wireless N product
Pros: Easy to Use, Design, Features
I've installed many of the Belkin 54G routers - my favorite basic router or access point. This product offers the same high reliability and ease of setup that I am used to from Belkin. The "use as access point" feature is simply great, allowing you to set up a remote transmitter and switch where you can get a wired link. Great features and great value. My note on the performance is just due to throughput experience between this product and TrendNET's basic wireless N router which is marginally faster. For me though, quality beats speed - and Belkin is once more my stock router!

much better than my Linksys was
Pros: Easy to Use, Design, Features
My first router was a wirelss Linksys WRT54G about 2 years ago. One day my ATT Highspeed DSL modem stopped working. The ATT guys came out and installed a new modem. The problem arose with the fact that the modem was an ADSL modem + "router" and that my Linksys could not work with it at all dispite trying numerous online solutions to no avail for days. So I had to upgrade my router. I remembered what a major pain it was to setup my wireless Linksys router in the first place, which took days of frustration. My job recommended router brands (Linksys, D-Link, or Belkin), so I decided to give Belkin a shot based on user reviews. I got it home and installed it per the instructions. I was impressed with how easy and quickly it went, only took an hour or less. The only sticky part came when configuring my laptops to connect with the router, but even that was made simple by the Belkin installer. No need to ever speak to a customer rep. The only regret I have is not going with a Belkin sooner. If you need router with a painless install, this is the way to go.
