I purchased this printer and was on the phone with HP within an hour of installing it on my computer. It wouldn't print Excel documents in landscape format! So, HP tech support gave me a solution (print direct to printer) which seemed OK, until I went to print multiple copies of something a few days later (had to turn spooling back on). So, I got back on the phone with HP and they gave me a third option of printing with a different driver. This corrected the Excel and multiple copy issues, but then I couldn't print envelopes correctly with this machine (the print driver assumed that non standard sized paper was fed from the right side of the tray, this printer feeds from the center). HP initially offered to purchase the printer back from me then changed their minds saying that they had provided me with sufficient work-arounds (having to manually choose between one of three print drivers for EACH print job to achieve desired results)
I was told (direct quotes): "you can't assume that a printer is going to print everything" (I print MS office, and PDF files pretty much exclusively), "You are using the printer outside of specifications" (printing avery labels, photo sized pages and standard sized envelopes) and that "HP does not guarantee that it prints from specific software, even MS Office". I was told this by TWO high level case managers!
So, I have unplugged the printer and will go back out to purchase a non HP printer. Wish me luck!
