My travel companion
Pros: Portabililty, Compact
Cons: no bells and whistles
The handiness and ease of use make this my traveling buddy. I carry it everywhere, ready to capture unexpected video. You never know when you'll come across activity worthy of recording, and sharing with friends and family. This the best of the basic minimal video recorders. Very recommended.

Great for kids
Pros: Portabililty, Compact
Cons: now she films everything...
Got one for my daughter. She loved it. i even got an attachment for her bicycle handle bars which let's her create action movies.

I love my Flip!
Pros: Portabililty, Compact, Megapixel, Ease of Use, value for money
I received this as a Christmas gift last year and wasn't entirely excited about it until I had taken some video and hooked it up to my computer. Now I carry this thing around in my purse. The software downloads straight from the device = no stupid CDs! The program is so easy to use to create videos. A friend of mine borrowed it for about 2 days and made a funny little video to put up on YouTube. I didn't have to instruct him at all, I just said "Record your scenes and then plug it into the computer". You can capture pictures once you plug into your comp, however you cannot take pictures on the device itself. No big deal because you can get a better picture anyway since you have many frames to choose from. No more taking group shots over and over again, and the ability to capture action shots easily! Quality is good, but I wish the zoom was better.

Loved it!
Pros: Portabililty, Compact, value
I just love my Flip camcorder. It's really easy to use and uploading it to my computer was simple. I even made a movie with music. I like this basic model because if the batteries run low you just put in new batteries and you don't have to look for a place to plug in a charger and wait for it to charge.

Small enough to take everywhere

Cons: downloading to laptop was problematic
This product is great if you are looking for a small, portable video recording device. The quality of the videos and the audio is better than I had anticipated for the price point and small form factor. It's ultra simple to use and the only problem I encountered was when trying to download the videos to my laptop. When I plugged the Mino into one of my laptop's USB ports, the laptop detected new hardware but thought the device was a mouse and deactivated my touchpad. Since I didn't actually have a mouse attached to my laptop at the time, it was frustrating until I figured out what had happened. The final resolution was really quite simple (pressing the touchpad button on the keyboard) and it was not a flaw on the part of the Mino. Altogether, I'm very happy with the product.

So Easy Even a First Grader Can Do It!

Our principal recently purchased Flip Video Cameras for every classroom teacher. She wanted us to document our Problem Based Learning projects on the Global Biomes. My class is partnering with 2nd grade to do North American Woodlands. We used the flip video to show our summer book reports and our "Woodland Friend" t-shirts. We will continue to use it throughout the year to showcase what we've learned. It was so easy to simply turn it on, point and shoot. The best part was uploading it to the computer and showing it to the students and parents! This is really easy enough for a first grader to use!

Great item
I love this item, I've had it about a year and a half and bring it with me wherever I go. It's great for emailing long videos, up to one hour! I love my flip. Now they came out with the HD, so I'm looking forward to getting that one.

Flip Cam convenient!
Pros: Portabililty, Compact
If you like to take spontaneous videos, this is the camera for you. Small enough to stick in your pocket, purse, or glove compartment; this camera couldn't be any more convenient! You do have to be somewhat close to your subject for the best quality video. Don't expect to sit in the back of an auditorium and be able to have a high quality picture of what is on stage. Uploading to your computer, facebook, youtube, etc is easy as well.
