Great for the Home
Pros: Features, Easy to Use, Meets Expectations
Cons: bulky not sleek.
I purchased the HP inkjet pro 8610 and love it! Perfect for home use and light office use. I set it up from the HP download web site vs. the CD due to more current updates. Once the download was completed, set up with my windows 7 software was a breeze! Everything worked the first time and it is fast. Bulky unit but I hide it behind my desk and below eye level. I also signed up for the instant ink (through HP connect online) program. I figure it pays for itself if you usually buy ink cartidges at least once a year. This machine uses 4 ink cartidges, so rethink using the instant ink program for your needs. They track online when you need a new cartridge and send them to you automatically for a small monthly fee. (Mine was $4.99/mo printing 100 copies a month. Thats $60 per year and I know I spent more than that last year). Great service idea. I was able to print from my smart phone without any issues. My Samsung tablet was a different story. Only can print on a Samsung Printer per Tab 3 but I will investigate and fix this trick. So you should go for an HP 8610 at Office Max, they matched a sale price I located on my Smart Phone while at the store too. Bought it on the spot under the $149 price.

Great little printer
Pros: Features, Easy to Use, Meets Expectations
I print about 5-700 pages a month and the speed is so much better than my last printer. Like the high capacity paper tray and the ease od changing to envelopes.
Easy set-up and operation.

Love this printer
Pros: Easy to Use, Meets Expectations, Features
Bought one for a new office and was so impressed, when the print head on an older competitor's model died I bought another 8600E.
We haven't had either for very long, but the multi-sheet copy function, large paper tray, e-print and network capability (even from smart-phone) are all terrific capabilities.
The only downers, which is the case for all jet printers; it is a tad slow, and of course the ink is costly. That said, we've printed a couple hundred pages on these cartridges.

So Good I Bought Another!
Pros: Easy to Use, Meets Expectations, Features
I bought one for my home office. It took me less than a half an hour to set up four computers, an iPad and two iPhones to it. It works as advertised. All the computers can print and scan wirelessly with zero hassles. The document feeder works great even for scanning.
I was so pleased with this purchase, that two weeks later I bought another for my business to replace an older, more finicky all-in-one. And guess what? All four computers there connected effortlessly as well.
I highly recommend this all-in-one for anyone needing all these features for a really low price. I'm not sure how it would do in a "high-volume" environment, but for occasional printing, copying, and scanning, the 8600 is a great deal.
BTW, I never write reviews. The fact that I wrote this one says a lot!
