Pros: Easy to Use, Meets Expectations, Features, easy to install
I've had this printer approx. 1 month. It is replacing an HP 6310, which had been a great printer. (donating to school system) The 6310 had started paper jamming occasionally and did not do well with small photo paper. I also wanted one that was cheaper on ink and ran 2-sided copying. The 8600 is a great printer. By following on-screen installation instructions, it was easy to install on a 2 computer network. It makes good photo prints and is very fast. It's also quieter than the 6310. It's a little taller because of the 2-sided copying. You can fax from either the touch screen or the computers with ease. So far, everything works perfectly. I would highly recommend this printer based on my limited use.
I have owned this printer for two weeks. It is fast (mostly color printing) and the quality is good. Had trouble scanning a document and online HP resource did not help. Had to figure out how to fix on my own (turned the printer off and restarted after a couple of minutes). Will be interested to see how long ink cartridges last.
