Poor quality, did not last
Cons: poor quality screen and material
We bought this computer for our very responsible daughter to use at school. While at first it seemed easy to use etc, within a month it began to have problems with wavy lines on the screen. At first if you reboot the computer it would then work fine. 3 months in it pretty much died. There are wavy lines and poor color. Apparently this problem is not covered by the warranty so we are simply out our $400. I would not recommend this laptop if you ever plan to bring it anywhere.

What a wonder
Pros: Storage Space, Screen Size
Cons: need to upgrade os
Before you start with this little monster.. update your system so you can get to use Windows 8.1 it's free but you must update first. I'm very new to windows 8 but I do know what I like fast, lite and better than a table! Great for Systems Admin's, or Database Admin's!

Great little device
Pros: touch screen, build quality
Nice feel to this device. I have purchased other "low cost" laptops for my daughter. Many have failed mechanically due to just sheer poor design. This one is built far better and has a lot of features including a touch screen. It is a Christmas present, so I may update this. I have charged it and loaded programs on it at this point only. Will update after some real world use.

HP Notebook purchase
Pros: Processing Speed, Storage Space, Screen Size
Very excellent computer. Very fast and efficient at operation. Great price! Computer runs smoothly and quietly without overheating like most smaller laptops I've had have done. Would definitely recommend this computer to anyone!

Everything i wanted!
Pros: Processing Speed, Storage Space, Screen Size, price!
This HP is worth the Money! Portable, Touch Screen, Loads of Storage. Not a big Processor but runs great. I think you need the Touch Screen to make Windows 8 run in full potential. HD port a plus for the big screen.:)

Very nice laptop
Pros: Storage Space, Screen Size, battery
Cons: processing speed
This is a very nice Windows 8 laptop with a touch screen. It is my first Windows 8 computer. IMHO the touch screen is vitally important to Windows 8.
I've had this laptop for about three days, and have been working with it incessantly. Windows 8 is becoming a LOT less mysterious. There are some problems with the People app importing unwanted and unknown contacts, but other than that, things are going well.
I like the size and looks of the laptop. It is VERY portable, and I look forward to taking it on trips. (My previous laptops have had 17" and 15" screens, which made them so non-portable that I stopped lugging them around.) I like the replaceable battery (not in all competitive machines), which has ample life for my around-home needs. The touch screen seems to work fine, but takes some getting used to, as did my iPad a few years ago. This unit has more connectors and ports than others in its class. I particularly like the wired Internet connector, since I plan to use it when traveling. (Hotels almost always have free wired Internet, but often charge for wireless. Their wireless often isn't very good.)
There is no built-in DVD drive, so I plan to use an external one to load Office and my other apps. We'll see how that goes.
Processing seems to be a bit slow, but is acceptable considering the price of the machine.
