Terrible durability

I bought two of these chairs for a home office because of their look, size and mainly because of their comfort. I also liked the soft, leather like fabric. What a mistake. Who would have guessed that after just a few months of light use the fabric would start peeling apart. They are still very comfortable, but they look absolutely awful.
There are a lot of 5 star ratings for this chair, which I have to believe were written shortly after purchase. If I had rated this chair in the first month I would have given it a great rating also. What a shame that the fabric won't stand up.

Not worth the money

I purchased this chair in January 2009, and after two months, the fabric started to peel. I have now owned it for a year, and it looks HORRIBLE. I purchased the "insurance" with this, and am planning on having this chair replaced; but I do not plan on using this for work anymore. Though it is comfortable, and compact enough to save some work space, the fact that the fabric is so cheap (especially for a $150 chair) and peels so easily makes me regret purchasing this chair.

Very Comfortable Chair

I bought one of these as a Christmas gift for my mother, and it was so nice and comfortable that I bought two more for our house, one by the computer and one by my sewing machine. They look nice and are extremely comfortable.

Comfy Chair, Perfect Size!

This is the perfect sized chair for my home office. It's smaller than the executive chairs, so it doesn't overwhelm the room. Four different people use it, and we all love it! Extremely comfortable, even down to the cushioned arm rests! The neutral color is great!

Chair is nice and comfortable but fabric (faux leather) is so thin it will peel up and rub off in first few months. If the arms of the chair were ever to rub the bottom or edge of the desk, forget it. Don't waste your money as you will be replacing this chair soon, or else living with a very unsightly looking chair.

"leather" already peeling off

I bought this chair in April 2008. The faux leather started peeling off several months ago. By now it has numerous spots where it has completely peeled off. The chair was used only lightly and I would not expect it to be so poor quality that it would go bad so early. Otherwise it would have been a great chair since it feels very comfortable. I definitely do not recommend buying it.

I work from home one day a week and wanted a chair that would be comfortable all day long and this is the chair. The leather is very soft and this is a very sturdy and comfortable chair to spend all day in.

I purchased this chair for my teenage son, who is home-schooled, and he loves it. He sits in it several hours a day, 5 days a week, and its cushioning is holding up really well. Plus, I use it at the computer when he's not in it!

I bought this chair because I saw it in a photo on a different office furniture store's website. It matched the desk I was purchasing. Plain old black wouldn't do, and I can't afford a nice leather chair for 3 times the price of this one. My husband put the chair together in about a half hour while we were watching TV. I love the color, and the cushion is very smooth and plush. It is a very comfortable chair, and I'm so happy with it!

I bought this chair in the OfficeMax store, after seeing it on-line.
I'm always weary when buying things untried/unseen especially comfort items i.e shoes, clothing, chairs etc. since I have back problems.
This chair was a graduation gift for my daughter from college.
We went to OfficeMax tried the chair and bought it. It has a modern look and sits great, just what she wanted!

The Winner

Over the years we have had many office task chairs. The Odessa is The Winner. Cover is soft and supple as well as carefree. We chose one chair to remain without arms and the other with arms. One chair rolls easily to amother room and without arms is used in the office as well as sewing room. Height is easily adjustable to task and individual heights. The Winner!

This chair was easy to put together. It is relatively comfortable and is a nice neutral color. It is sturdy, and serves it's purpose for the 2 days per week that I work at home. Although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles it is a good value for the price.

I originally purchased this chair to take to my office but after putting it together and trying it out at my desk at home, it never made it to my office. I threw out the chair I already had and had to keep this one for myself at home. I had to order another one for my office. Everyone that sits in my chair in the office comments on how nice it is.

Comfortable, attractive chair. The finish work on the underside of chair arms is a little sloppy; hopefully it wont start falling apart with age.
